     A THREAT OR A TREAT?

     It is all in black and white, evidences around can be seen that video games are rampant these days. Eversince the birth of computers in this world, video games already tattooed their everlasting stamps into the hearts of everyone. Is it a threat or a treat?

     It can be a treat to those who can control themselves. It can be a relaxation to those who are tired from work. After the traffic and paper works, a nice play of video game provides enjoyment and for the next day, another day of tiresome real world. It can also be a treat to friends. Inviting friends will set the mind away from all the stress at work. The mind will be able to focus to another world of fun and friends at home to play with some latest video games cost also a lot of laughs. Eating popcorn and chips while playing topped with a very cold soda or lemonade will surely keep the bonding lasting before returning to work the following day. This is not only restricted to friends only, office mates are not exempted, they can also have enjoyment with you in the arcades after work while drinking a bottle or two before going home.

 Playing video games is a treat to those who are in a relationship... girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives, and even family. It can be relaxing after a days work or after school homework's. It can even strengthen the bond in between. It can loosen tight tensions and just get on with the flow of playing. But control always must be present. It can be fun but with guidance.

Like for the family and the kids, parents must know how to guide their children while playing, that they might argue over a game over and a lost game is normal but explaining to them that in a game there will always be a loser or a winner and that it only stays in the game never to be hold as a grudge after the fun is over. Without control and guidance, playing a video game can be a threat....

     A threat will always struck a cord in our lives. Playing video games can be a threat if it will be out of control. What is being out of control? When you doesn't want to leave the game even if there is a bunch of homework or office work to be done, when you keep on looking at your watch while talking to a client thinking that your favorite character in your video game awaits you, when you keep on focusing on how to win the game no matter the exam tomorrow, when you put on ear plugs just to lessen mom's nagging to stop the game and help her in the kitchen for dinner. If these happens, you will cost your job! If these happens, you'll lost control of your company and much more, lose clients to trust you. If these happens, parents will not be able to control their children to go to net cafes just to play games when all these while they thought their child is at school studying. And what will become of these violent video games?

Who knows it is a way of those rebels to recruit people even children to be one of their arms in  true war?...and it is sad...very sad that their training started in arcades who just meant fun and even in homes who just meant enjoyment.

     It is also a threat even to relationships without control and proper guidance or thinking. In what way? Well, if you can't leave your current game just to text your girlfriend to wait in an hour at a resto you agreed to have dinner with, then you can be considered as video game addict and it will surely cost your relationship! If you can't help your wife discipline your children to care for each other and not fight because you are in the middle of your favorite video game, you better start thinking change! You might cost your wife and worst, your family!

    
    What disadvantages can playing without control give? So much! Since you are addicted to the games, you might have those bets started. First, just for fun and you may never imagine that later on, you even bet your house and car just to win the race over these video car racing!
